Mackenzie Hughes of Dundas locked up spot on Tour with win in Cape Breton last week

It was one of the biggest putts in Mackenzie Hughes’ golf career and he didn’t even see it.

Instead, the Dundas golfer was out on the practice range, preparing for a playoff at last week’s Cape Breton Classic. But when Ryan Williams missed a six-foot eagle putt on the par-five 18th, Hughes had his first PGA Tour Canada victory and something even more special — a spot on the Tour next season.
